Aromas of ripe pear and apple with soft tropical fruit and baking spices on the palate. A creamy, lengthy finish.
Through decades of study and exploration within Mendoza's high altitude mountain terroirs, the Catena family has identified special locations for its Estate vineyards. The grapes for this wine are sourced from four separate vineyards and harvested at different times.

Catena makes some of the best Chardonnays in the southern hemisphere, excelling even at this comparatively modest price level. Combining fruit from the Uco Valley with 10% from Agrelo, it’s a modern, yeasty, citrus-tinged style with very subtle wood and pithy acidity.See detailed press review

The balsamic, smoky and spicy white 2018 Catena Chardonnay is a blend of different vineyards matured in oak barrels for ten months. 2018 was a very good harvest in Mendoza...This Chardonnay is a fresh and varietal bottling with good balance; they used some destemmed grapes for the first time, trying to obtain less oxidative musts, and the wine comes through as a balanced combination of fruit and oak with a pleasant mouthfeel. It's really excellent for the price asked.See detailed press review
